Front Row Action This Thursday... Style Night Out, Charlotte NC
Since I deleted the first filming of my Charlotte Street Style Tour episode last season, no one outside of the Queen City got to meet my good friend, and fellow Fashionisto, Mike Watson. That's going to change after this Thursday. I was invited to join Mike on the front row during Charlotte's forth annual Style Night Out, fashion event.
We'll be interviewing behind the scenes, from the front row, as well as live tweeting all night all. Also make sure to join us for off the cuff nonsenses during our pre-show Livestream event. You can watch us Livestream'ing here, the link will also be posted all over our Facebook and twitter pages.
If you haven't got your tickets yet, make sure to visit the Style Night Out website to order yours now.
I'm looking forward to visiting Charlotte again for what is looking to be one fashionable night out.

"Connecting the Unconnected"
I don't often post un-original content, however I'm a strong believer of support those who support our small, yet motivated Southern fashion community.
Mike Watson is one of my fashion friends based out of Charlotte. He's a artist, as well as a instructor for the fashion program at The Air Institute. When I filmed the Charlotte episode during season 1 of the Street Style Tour, we unfortunatly lost all the footage from our first set of taping including Mike's interview. I plan to make up the lost interview soon, but found this great video where Mike talks about the connection of fashion, art, and its infusion into modern society.
Enjoy & Happy Friday Y'all.

Natasha... at Charleston Fashion Week
Natasha is one of my friends based in Charlotte, you might remember her from the Charlotte visit on the Street Style Tour. I don't really know how else to put it, but Natasha is one of my favorite out-of-towners, she laughs at my jokes and she's gorgeous. Happy Thursday y'all.

Street Style at Charleston Fashion Week, March 19-23
I got some great news to share. I will be the official street style photographer for Charleston Fashion Week this year (this month actually).
It was completely unexpected, and I can't tell you how honored I feel to have been offered to shoot for fashion week in this capacity. You'll still find posts throughout the week here on Angel's POV, however catch most of the updates following each night at the Charleston Fashion Week website. I look forward to seeing many of you in a few weeks in Marion Square.

Rachel Gordon...One Love Design, Charleston, SC
For the past 9 months (not kidding, 9 months), I've been trying to figure out the best way to write a short post on Rachel Gordon, a friend and designer based in Charleston. I think its part of the fashion world, you make such great connections with people who you only get to see a few times a year.
In the brief time of knowing her, Rachel seems to just be one of those individuals who are so dynamic personally, and creatively, trying to describe them in a few sentences is quite difficult.
To save time, here is how I will describe Rachel for you.
- Rachel is a incredibly kind, beautiful, approachable person.
- Like most creative people, Rachel is a perfectionest - Example " Well, I didn't have anything to wear today, so I stayed up last night and made these pants." ~ Rachel telling me about her outfit after her show in Charleston last March. (See 4th photo down)
- Rachel makes really rad dresses. (See all photos below)
- Rachel would also like everyone to know that her "goddess" dresses are not just for tall skinny people. (my wife's reason not to try one on before. My new reason to make her try one on anyways and hopefully buy one of Rachel's off white, plunge neck dresses. LOVE!!)
- Lastly, Rachel likes sneaking in Southern based Street Style bloggers back stage at shows because apparently we are OK to hang around.
THE END - on to pictures.

Meet and Greets
In the past year of my street style endeavors, I've traveled to many cities in the South. What I've quickly learned is, although many have impressively stylish residents, they don't have the foot traffic I need to deem every town worthy of hours of walking. That being said, I've gained a relationship with many of these towns, and don't want them completely taken off my radar.
Starting next year I'll be scheduling Meet and Greets in cities I visit at a coffee shop or someplace similar. You come out - we meet - greet - street style moments might happen.
So how will this work?
- Follow Angel's Point of View here, facebook, or on twitter.
- I'll post when and where I'll have my Meet and Greet in your city.
- Leave and comment or send me an e-mail to RSVP for the Meet and Greet.
- Plan a killer outfit.
- Tell your friends to come.
- Show up and get your fab on!
One of the great things about meet and greets is that I get to meet new people in these cities. Another perk (for you and me both) is I'll probably line up a few streetstyles. I just can't resist taking a stunning image.
Cities that will for sure have Meet and Greets in 2012 will be Charlotte NC, Columbia SC, and Washington DC.
If you have any questions, write me at angelspov@gmail.com.
I'm looking forward to meeting some of my readers next year.

Street Style.. The Young Orchids, Charlotte
A few weeks back I was down in Charlotte and ran into a similarly dressed pack of gentlemen. Your guess that they are a band would be right. The Young Orchids from Atlanta. I didn't get to hear them play live, but I did listen to them online and definitely dig what they have going on. Worth your time to check out.
