After Dark... DC Fashion Week, Washington DC

Over at Style Street, I'm starting to take photos for smaller details that cant been seen in my normal wide shoot. This would have been a prime candidate since the gauges (earrings) he was wearing had little pistols painted on them. A very nice touch and subtle detail. I guess I might start doing that some for A-POV as well.

Either way, nicely done Sir.

After Dark... DC Fashion Week, "Silk Art" Washington DC

I saw a lot of really detailed tights and hosiery while in DC, it was quite cool too see. A major upgrade to the more DIY look of frayed and purposely ruined hose you might typically see.

After Dark... Under the Umbrella, East Bay St., Charleston

I don't actually use an umbrella for my "After Dark" photos. However, I found a really fun way to snap some cool night photos. Minus the high heel flip flops this is a great outfit for a night on the town.

Best moment in taking this picture was she was wearing flats, but pulled out those heels before posing for a picture. Textbook fashionista. Check back next week. I have two more "After Dark" photos to share from outside of Charleston Place.

Charleston Preview!!

I hope you make it a point to visit each week (if not daily) throughout July. I'll be posting photos from my summer visit to Charleston. The photo above is one of my "After Dark" photos from the market. With the sidewalk traffic blocking most of the shoot, I felt this would be a great preview for what's to come. I'll be posting one "After Dark" photo each week along with the normal daylight hour fashion finds from Chuck Town.

Street Style - After Dark... S Main St., Blacksburg

southern street style for men, mens fashion in virginia

You're probably thinking, "What's so great about this picture?" Well, I took it at 11:30 pm on a dark street (and that Lady Gaga t-shirt was pretty cool). Last night I set up a stand with a mini soft box testing out "After Dark." I got my set up and settings ironed out so I should be able to take this to some busier streets soon. I would say the biggest challenge is that I set up my light and had to wait for people to walk by instead of walking to find people. I would say the next issue would be getting my wife to agree to me staying out late to take pictures of people in the middle of the night. Haha.

Out of all my posts, feed back on my new "After Dark" project would be great. Leave your comments below.
