Street Style... "Skinny Belt," Carytown, Richmond

white pants with bowtie, richmond Street Style, Virginia Street Style, southern mens fashion

I don't think I've ever seen a guy pull off such a skinny belt, very cool contrast. The belt itself looks a bit like these leather suspenders I caught in Charleston about two years ago.

Street Style... Morrison Dr., Charleston, SC

Levi's Jean jacket, Kakikis and loafers, mens fashion near trains.

I got to briefly meet Desmond Kinlaw while in Charleston for the day last week. He was voted one of Charleston 10 Most Stylish 2012 for Charleston Magazine. He also recently started a blog called Chinos & Cheesecake. From what a friend told me last week, after his shoot for Charleston Mag he's hooked to this thing called fashion. Welcome to the game Sir.

More Denim Shirts? I Think So! Charleston

chambray shirt and blue blazer, Charleston Street Style, Southern Street Style

I think I should run a week long series of street style photos I've taken with denim and Chambray shirts In them. I think you got the memo yesterday about these wardrobe staples.

Downtown... "Short Business" Charleston

Unless you've never read a history book or seen a period movie, you will have noticed how much mens fashion reflects those more refined decades of our past in recent years (Like the look above which I love). When dressing well was a masculine trait, and not something only "girly" men did. I've been watching some of the treds designers have been trying to push lately, Imagine the 90's have a baby with the 40's, and Jnco jeans collaborate with Brooks Brothers. I think its best we avoid ever revisiting any forms of mens fashion from about 1979 - 2004, EVER!

Ground Work - Charleston Fashion Week

There was a lot of great style elements happening at Charleston Fashion Week. When it came to men's style this year, the real action was happening on the ground.

Same Shoes Different Lace

I loved his style here, polo shirt, bow tie, It was very unique and consist to what I'm guessing is his style uniform. What I liked even more, instead of packing five different pairs of shoes, he just swapped out his shoe laces to match the color of his outfit. Pretty nifty.

Red Carpet... Charleston Fashion Week

Vanessa Lachey, looking absolutely stunning (and pregnant) while in Charleston. I thought Nick Lachey might have passed on the trip down South, but Vanessa told me that he was just hanging out at the B&B they were put up in while she got her glam on. She was quite the beauty and very easy to talk to.

Charleston Fashion Week... "Personal Style Defined."

I see a lot of different personal styles out there, this is probably one of my favorite senses of individualism I've seen in a while. He just wasn't trying, that's personal style to a 'T'.

Battle of the Beauty's

So no loss of style point for Mike here, he was quite the dapper gent. However Caroline (middle), and Jess (right) were just stunning young ladies. The fact they were together quite often during CFW made them one stunning duo, trio if we not forget Mike.

Mychael Knight... Charleston Fashion Week 2012

Mychael Knight is quite the accomplished Southern designer. He was a contestant on Bravo's Project Runway, he's dressed celebrities Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah and Keri Hilson just to name a few, and this year he debuts his bridal line. He is quite the sharp dressed man, looking dapper each night while at CFW and quite the gentlemen. The highlight of his outfit here was the bleaching process he has developed which you can see in his Denim jacket. Below I posted a few of my favorite dresses from Mychael's bridal show, especially the second dress from the top.

After Dark... DC Fashion Week, Washington DC

Over at Style Street, I'm starting to take photos for smaller details that cant been seen in my normal wide shoot. This would have been a prime candidate since the gauges (earrings) he was wearing had little pistols painted on them. A very nice touch and subtle detail. I guess I might start doing that some for A-POV as well.

Either way, nicely done Sir.
